We support our members in their pursuit of health and fitness in a supportive environment. Beginner, or advanced. Our programming is constantly varied with a focus on strength and conditioning. Each class begins with mobility and warm up. Followed by strength portion and then we finish with up metabolic conditioning. We want you to prepare you for any competition, sport, or whatever life throws at you.
Our priority is supporting you to meet your potential. The HGX team has 40+ years of coaching experience across different disciplines. You'll learn new things about yourself, make different life choices, approach challenges with confidence and develop new friendships. You'll understand movement and what your body is capable of and apply that to your daily life.
Breanne Feudale Coach & Co-owner
Masters Degree in Kinesiology - emphasis in Exercise Physiology, Strength and Conditioning specialist, USAW Olympic Weightlifting , CrossFit Level 2
Breanne Feudale is co-owner and Head Coach at HGX. She has always had a passion for fitness and physical activities. At a young age, she began playing club soccer and continued her enthusiasm for this sport throughout her high school years. At the age of 13, she began to participate in another sport, the Korean martial art of Taekwondo. She went on to compete in many local, state and national tournaments where she was able to earn bronze, silver and gold medals.
Through her dedication in Taekwondo, she achieved her third degree Black Belt. In addition to Breanne’s fitness background, she has earned her Masters Degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Exercise Physiology. She also has a B.A. Degree in Graphic Design from San José State University. Breanne is a certified Strength and Conditioning specialist, a USAW Olympic Weightlifting Coach and a certified Level 2 CrossFit Coach. In 2008 and 2009, she participated in the CrossFit Games. In 2009 she placed third at the NorCal Regional CrossFit Regionals. In 2010 and 2012, Breanne also qualified in the NorCal Regionals. In 2013 she placed 21st fittest female in NorCal Regionals and in 2014, she placed 26th fittest female in NorCal Regionals.
Breanne is now the mother of twins and enjoys working out hard and inspiring each of her clients to do the same to achieve their own personal goals. She believes that physical strength and fitness are very important in life and when the body is physically fit, it can operate at its maximum level. Her philosophy holds true to the saying, “What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.”
Kent Kitagawa Coach & Co-owner
CrossFit Level 1 Trainer, Kukkiwon Taekwondo Master, CPR/AED/First Aid certification
Kent brings an extensive background in coaching and fitness. He has coached and trained in the martial arts of Taekwondo for over 35 years and holds a 5th degree Master Black belt. He began his fitness venture by opening KIK’S Taekwondo in San Mateo where he taught both the art and sport aspects of the martial arts for over 16 years. He also served as the Associate Head Coach for the Stanford University Taekwondo Club for over 10 years and was appointed as the head coach of the US National Collegiate Taekwondo team in 2012 and 2013. In addition, with his knowledge in functional movement, he was hired by Dusty Baker as the Chicago Cubs speed and agility trainer and assisted the team during spring training and winter camps.
By joining Breanne at HGX, Kent is able to continue his passion for health and fitness and help inspire athletes of all levels to work hard, have fun, and attain their individual fitness goals.

After injuring my leg playing volleyball for UC Davis, I got introduced to the bike, which led to road racing, adventure races, and events like the Death Ride (16.000 feet of climbing over 129 miles) and LotoJa (200 miles, three states, no problem). Many hard lessons in the endurance world have created a foundation for my passion for fitness.
From 24 hour adventures to road races, and from Murph to yoga, I bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to my coaching and personal training. If I'm not coaching at HGX, I can be found with my wife and two kids, selling homes as an agent at Compass Realty, coaching for the Academy Volleyball Club, or with my three dogs. In between all that, I still find time to sleep, train, and ride my bike.
I just love the variety and high intensity that can prepare you for the unexpected, whether that's tubing with the kids, a 12 hour ruck event, or just moving stuff around at your house. HGX satisfies that personal desire to improve and also provides a competitive and supportive community. Having been involved in HGX for years, I am ready to impart some of that knowledge to you in a class or private session.
Nia Reate-Galarza Coach
I started CrossFit in 2012 and fell in love instantly. I love that there is always something to improve upon, but it also has a competitive feel to it. This was something I missed after I stopped playing college basketball. I also enjoy the community feeling and being surrounded by people with common health and fitness goals. HGX has become a way of life for me, since all the different movements and workouts challenge my body and mind. I also LOVE HGX because of the many ways we can scale workouts to fit the needs of our members. This has been especially helpful when my mom had hip replacement surgery but still wanted to work out. It also opened the doors to my brother who uses a wheelchair and had limited options when it came to working out. Most places are not educated in working with people who are disabled. The CrossFit community believes everyone can participate. Inclusion is so important to me. After working out at HGX for a few years, I decided to get my CrossFit Level 1 certification. I also started to study weightlifting more and won my first competition. I have enjoyed sharing all my knowledge with the HGX family and look forward to helping those that join our box!
Jeanine Andrious Intern
Sports and Fitness have always been a passion of mine and I enjoy the smiles people have when leaving the gym after a fulfilling workout. This has driven me to expand my knowledge, obtaining my CF Level 1 and continuing the path towards USA Weightlifting and NASM.
I grew up playing competitive sports, representing California in Squash’s Howe Cup, completing many Triathlons and Marathons. For the past 4 years my training focus has been CrossFit and competing in local competitions. I am thankful for the opportunity to work with HGX's great coaches and to help you all achieve your fitness goals.

If I wasn’t doing personal training, I would be sitting behind the desk at a law firm wishing I was doing something better for health and fitness. 10 years ago I made the choice to follow my passion for health and fitness and I’m so glad I did! Having the opportunity to work with people of all ages and fitness levels has been incredibly fulfilling and continues to drive me. I’m looking forward to bringing my knowledge and experience with kettlebells, Olympic lifting, gymnastics and mobility to HGX. I first stumbled upon CrossFit through a beginner’s class offered at my college and enjoyed it so much that I joined a CrossFit gym as soon as the class ended and haven’t looked back since. The list of reasons I love CrossFit goes on and on, but my top two are: (1) the mindset shift from what your body looks like to what your body can do - no matter where you are on your journey, progress is always celebrated; and (2) the community - I’ve met some of my closest friends (not to mention my hubs) through CrossFit and absolutely love the camaraderie at the gym. I’m excited to work with the coaches as I learn to step into their shoes and help HGX members on their health and fitness journeys!

I started CrossFit in 2011 with my mom and was instantly hooked to the both the CrossFit community and challenge of each WOD. After 5 years at my first box, a move meant I had to find a new gym. I’m so glad to have found HGX. The gym has become my happy place to work off stress, connect with others and challenge myself outside my comfort zone. I am excited to learn from the best coaches and help other athletes reach their highest potential.
Jazmin Estevez Coach

Jazmin was born and raised in Colombia. She has always been involved in sports. She went to University to pursue her International Business and Economics Bachelor’s degree where she joined the University volleyball team and competed in nationals and got a scholarship.
In 2013 she discovered a CrossFit gym in her hometown in Colombia and from the very first day became her passion. “What I love about HGX is that it doesn’t matter what level you are at, there is always room for improvement, ALWAYS!! I Love to be able to encourage people to give their best every time they come to my class and see them leaving with a smile on their faces, making their experience at our gym the best part of their day." Jazmin is Level 2 Certified CrossFit Trainer; you can typically find her in the morning classes, either working out or teaching.

Heather, a San Francisco native spent years of her fitness in a globo gym then discovered CrossFit. Heather's passion for wellness and fitness grew by stepping out of her comfort zone to become a coach. She has competed in local CrossFit competitions and Olympic weightlifting meets that have challenged her to be a better coach. She believes, the most rewarding aspect of coaching HGX classes are when members gain more confidence in themselves when class is over than when they first walked in.

Steve is a Vietnam Vet, a graduate of UC Berkeley, married his high school sweetheart. He maybe the worlds most okayest CrossFiter, but loves it.
We are right in the heart of Silicon Valley with easy access to 101 and 92.
