Senior Manager, Global Security Systems & Technology Organization: Applied Materials Location: Austin, Texas Description: About the job Scope of Position With responsibility for security systems and technology to protect Applied Materials around the world, the Senior Manager, Global Security Systems & Technology must think holistically about security systems and how they impact the employee and visitor experience. This role serves as the leader of the global security systems team, drives modernization, application engineering, innovation, and lifecycle initiatives through expert management of direct reports and security vendors to meet stakeholders’ expectations. Key Accountabilities Lead enterprise-capable global security systems and technology organization Develop, track, and maintain reporting of budgets, schedules, and written analysis of all global security technology Manage complete inventory of security systems technology devices and infrastructure Identify emerging technology to help solve security challenges while improving program performance. Work collaboratively with partners in Global Security, Global Information Services (IT), Facilities, and vendors Lead security systems repair and maintenance activities Leadership Skills Required Demonstrates sound judgment and effective time management Must have 100% credibility, objectivity and respect across all parts of the business Ability to collaborate with other management groups (IT, HR, Finance, Legal) Demonstrated analytical and critical thinking skills Knowledge of security operations and procedures Knowledge of security systems operations Excellent interpersonal skills, including relationship building and collaboration within a diverse, cross-functional team Available on an on-call basis for emergencies Willing to travel internationally Professional Expertise/ Knowledge Bachelor’s degree is preferred although combination of work experience and education may be accepted Project budgeting experience for small to large scale projects Strong IT and systems architecture knowledge Qualifications: Experience 7-10 years in a similar role within a security organization Working knowledge of MS Windows (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio; SharePoint -- web design) Team leadership experience, leadership of a security systems technology function preferred Strong and effective written and verbal communications skills, including presentations Skills Deep expertise in a variety of electronic physical security systems and technology, including video surveillance, access control, video intercoms, turnstiles, etc. High proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Windows (All) Service-oriented/customer-driven approach Excellent organizational and presentation skills Education Bachelor’s degree from accredited university Travel: Yes, 10% of the Time Relocation Eligible: No Compensation: U.S. Salary Range: $136,000.00 - $187,000.00 The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable. For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
