We are looking for a meticulous and skilled Staff Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Los Angeles, California. In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining accurate financial operations and assisting with critical accounting tasks. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic environment while ensuring smooth day-to-day processes.

Responsibilities:
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
• Post payments, handle cash applications, and perform daily operational accounting tasks to maintain efficiency.
• Conduct bank reconciliations and ensure checks are reviewed and prepared for issuance.
• Oversee cash management activities, including cutting checks and processing payments.
• Handle billing procedures with precision and ensure compliance with established guidelines.
• Support cash application processes and collaborate on operational accounting duties to ensure accuracy.
• Assist in maintaining the general ledger and preparing journal entries as needed.
• Provide essential support to the Accountant to ensure continuity in financial operations during the contract period.• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions such as v-lookups and pivot tables.
• Experience with Syspro software or similar accounting platforms like Dynamics GP is preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively and support the Accountant in daily financial tasks.
• Knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger processes.
• Familiarity with cash management and bank reconciliation procedures.
• Excellent analytical skills to ensure accuracy in financial operations.
