THE OPPORTUNITY

The Denver Center for the Performing Arts is seeking a Social Media Manager. This position is responsible for handling DCPA’s growing social media and advertising strategy.

The Social Media Manager is accountable for posting social media content and advertising across multiple channels including (but not limited to) Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Threads, TikTok, and YouTube. This role is an excellent opportunity for a written and visual communicator who is experienced at coordinating content from multiple partners, can work across multiple teams to produce engaging content, has experience stewarding a monthly social media content strategy and calendar that reflects the purpose and goals for each social platform, and can look at performance metrics to draw insights and optimize tactics for successful outreach.

DUTIES

Specific duties include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Support DPCA’s overall marketing efforts by creating content plans and handling the execution of deliverables for each priority social platform.
  • Schedule and post organic and learning to post advertising content across social platforms including but not limited to Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and YouTube.
  • Proactively ideate and capture videos and photos for creating social content including posts, reels, carousels, stories, etc. for organic and social media advertising.
  • Manage paid social campaigns including developing testing plans, building segments, loading ad creative, monitoring spends, and reporting on performance and optimizations.
  • Oversee engagement across all social platforms ensuring the DCPA’s brand identity and social tone of voice is represented consistently across all social media touchpoints.
  • Listen to and engage with our communities, making the DCPA social platform interactive, inclusive, and approachable. Watch for violations of posting terms and community standards, and remove posts as required. Address direct messages, comments, tagged photos, and mentions with DPCA’s Box Office team.
  • Oversee a weekly and monthly content calendar that is approved by key members of the team.
  • Track and assess social media KPIs to ensure social activity is optimized and responding to the latest trends. Report on the effectiveness of campaigns to maximize results.
  • Adhere to project management processes for content planning, creation, proofing and approval with multiple stakeholders meeting communication and timeline requirements.
  • Proactively monitor and research emerging technology and trends in the social space and communicate where opportunities exist for DCPA audience and business goals or where change management is needed.
  • Help with other digital marketing channels (web, email, etc.) when necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ year(s) of digital marketing experience that includes managing the social media and advertising of an agency or brand.
  • Strong project management experience and experience managing projects (the production of creative assets, posts, etc. through multiple teams and stakeholders).
  • Experience or the ability to work cross-team to ideate and produce social media content that is aligned with marketing plans.
  • Good analytics experience and familiarity with native and third-party analytics tools.
  • Knowledge and experience using graphic and video editing tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premier, InDesign, AfterEffects), Facebook/TikTok/Instagram editors, etc.
  • Positive attitude and passion for the theatre and the arts.
  • Your crystal ball vision helps you stay a few steps ahead and you proactively seek to fill gaps in your knowledge to understand what might lie ahead.
  • Strong professional and creative writing skills with knowledge of AP best practices and ability to adapt written content for social media best practices.
  • Comfortable with native and third-party publishing tools (Facebook Studio, SproutSocial, Hootsuite, etc.).
  • Experience with Meta Ads Manager and TikTok Ads Manager preferred.
  • Experience with Wrike, Trello, SmartSheets and/or other project management software preferred.
  • Knowledge of how to steward multiple projects with limited direction in a fast-paced environment.
  • Availability to work outside of normal office hours, on weekends and evenings, and in office when programs and events are occurring on site.
  • Comfortable working in an in-person office environment and with remote colleagues through virtual tools.
