Job Description

We are seeking a software engineer to join FortiSIEM Advanced Threat Integration engineering team. The ideal candidate needs to have a passion for researching various Security products and latest security threats for the purpose of building security product integrations and threat detections within FortiSIEM.

Responsibilities:

1. Research security products and build integrations to get the data into FortiSIEM.
2. Analyze API output and audit log output from security products and create log parsers, detection threat detections, reports and dashboards for FortiSIEM.
3. Analyze recent security threats and create FortiSIEM threat detection rules and reports.
4. Study public security analysis and create FortiSIEM threat detection rules and reports.
5. Build Compliance reports and dashboards.
6. Create FortiSIEM Content Update packages in a timely fashion.
7. Create features that maximize FortiSIEMs value in the threat detection and response landscape.
8. Work closely with other developers, QA, Dev Lead, and Support.
9. Participate in functional spec, design, and code reviews.
10. Maintain a positive team attitude and professionalism.

Requirements:

1. BS in Computer Science or related field with 3+ years of work experience or MS in Computer Science or related field with 2+ years of work experience.
2. Exposure to other SIEM platforms/Security Analytics/Log Analysis is a strong plus.
3. Good working experience with Python.
4. Strong working experience using regex.
5. Good/Basic working experience with bash scripting.
6. Basic working knowledge of git.
7. Strong problem-solving ability.
8. Strong general knowledge of Linux (At least one of CentOS, RHEL, Rocky Linux, Ubuntu).
9. Experience with distributed, scalable systems and Cloud Platforms is a plus.
10. Good working experience on at least one public cloud platform (AWS/GCP/Azure) is a plus.
11. Working knowledge of C++ is a strong plus but not required.
12. Experience in designing, collaborating, and coding in a distributed team environment.
13. Self-directed, Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision and be productive.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $150,000-$170,000. Fortinet offers employees a variety of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, 401(k), 11 paid holidays, vacation time, and sick time as well as a comprehensive leave program.

Wage ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, and job level. Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidate's subject knowledge, skill level, qualifications, experience, and geographic location.

All roles are eligible to participate in the Fortinet equity program. Bonus eligibility is reviewed at time of hire and annually at the Companys discretion.
