Overview Senior Database Reliability Engineer (relocation to Switzerland) EPAM is seeking a talented and motivated Database Reliability Engineer to join our dedicated team in Zurich. Responsibilities Apply a broad range of engineering practices with a focus on reliability, including instrumentation, performance analysis, and log analytics Respond to production incidents to gain first-hand experience of operational hotspots and identify root causes Take part in on-call duties, operations, software development, and support Collect and analyze operational data, define and monitor key metrics to identify and communicate areas for improvement Optimize the delivery, monitoring, and controls process to boost service reliability Ensure quality, security, reliability, and compliance of solutions by applying digital principles and implementing functional and non-functional requirements Learn new technologies and practices, reuse strategic platforms and standards, evaluate options, and make decisions with long-term sustainability in mind Work in an agile way as part of multi-disciplinary teams and collaborate with engineers and product managers Requirements 5+ years of technical experience in RDBMS/NoSQL database products Good understanding of cloud computing Excellent knowledge of performance tuning and capacity management Experience with common SRE tools such as configuration, alerting, or observability Experience with the software development life cycle, CI/CD, Git, and code build pipelines Hands-on experience writing automation scripts using Python/Golang, PowerShell/Bash Familiarity with infrastructure as code tooling (CloudFormation, Terraform, ARM) Familiarity with Azure Automation, Functions, or equivalent tools on other cloud platforms Proficient communication skills in English; knowledge of German is a significant advantage Nice to have Experience with Azure cloud databases Hands-on experience with GitLab We offer 5 weeks of vacation EPAM Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP) Enhanced parental leave Extended pension plan Daily sickness allowance insurance Employee assistance program Global business travel medical and accident insurance Learning and development opportunities including in-house training and coaching, professional certifications, over 22,000 courses on LinkedIn Learning Solutions and more All benefits and perks are subject to certain eligibility requirements Please note that offers are subject to appropriate background checks.
