About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Credit Executive to lead our credit team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for defining and implementing loan policies, overseeing credit and loan closing processes, and managing overall credit risk. You will have the authority to approve significant credit exposures and chair the Credit Risk Management and Watch List Committees. Your expertise will help set credit standards for lending and guide lenders in their credit decisions while ensuring compliance with credit policies and regulatory requirements. Ideal candidates will possess a Bachelor's degree in finance or a related field, alongside a minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in credit roles within community or larger banks or financial services firms. Additionally, you should have substantial expertise in commercial real estate, C&I lending, SBA lending, and construction financing. Proven experience with regulatory examinations and a strong understanding of underwriting complex commercial banking transactions is necessary. You will also be expected to lead and mentor your team, developing junior underwriters, and effectively collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders to manage credit exposure.
