Collins Aerospace is looking for a Painter II for our Miami, FL Landing Gear Facility, who will utilize work instructions, technical data, and experience to support production by painting aircraft landing gear components.

This position will be working in an Onsite capacity.

Work Shift: Second shift (Monday - Friday - 2:45 - 11:15 pm)

What You Will Do

• Install components using tools equipment and other special tools as required.
• Clean parts by steam and/or solvent cleaning in accordance with overhaul manual and GR specifications.
• Use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) during operations.
• Document work performed, update daily logs, and support preparation for final inspection of parts.
• Painting, cleaning, masking, attaching fixtures and demasking.
• Interpret blueprints and overhaul manuals for disassembly purposes

Qualifications You Must Have

• HS Diploma. In the absence of a HS diploma or GED, 2 years of relevant painting experience.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Ability to interpret blueprints and overhaul manuals for disassembly purposes
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to operate hand tools, electrical and pneumatic tools
• Ability to speak, read and understand English.

• Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

*This position is considered safety sensitive in accordance with FAA Guidelines. Candidate will be subject to drug and alcohol testing per FAA's regulation 14 CFR part 120, as well as 49 CFR part 40.
