Summary:

Assists Mortgage Lending Team in increasing mortgage loan portfolio by supporting the Mortgage Lending Officers in attracting mortgage customers, completing mortgage loan responsibilities, working loan pipeline, and working with the mortgage customers to fulfill the mortgage loan application document requirements. Responsible for assisting in all mortgage loan portfolio markets, specifically: North Muskingum County, Licking County, Guernsey County, and surrounding markets

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Assists mortgage loan customers and mortgage loan officers with the accumulation of all required mortgage loan documentation needs. Answers mortgage loan customer questions as needed.
• Provides clerical support for all employees in the mortgage loan department.
• Works with the Senior Residential Mortgage Underwriter (SRMU) to examine, evaluate, authorize, and recommend approval of customer mortgage loan applications for residential real estate loans.
• Acts as back up underwriter to SRMU for all residential mortgage loan applications.
• Acts as the backup administrator for the Company’s Loan Origination System (LOS).
• Attracts new mortgage loan applications by developing relationships within the community, specifically with the real estate community; makes sales calls to prospective customers.
• Assists in confirming mortgage loan worthiness by examining application and supporting documentation; estimates credit-worthiness; calculates repayment risk.
• Completes mortgage loans by monitoring collection, verification, and preparation of mortgage loan documentation; schedules and completes mortgage loan closing, clearing loan conditions.
• Protects Company image by keeping mortgage loan information confidential, and following the strict industry compliance laws.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
• Accomplishes Company mission by completing related results as needed.
• Follows and supports the Company’s policies and procedures accurately.
• Positively represents the Company’s culture and values.
• Achieves annual goals as assigned.
• Completes Company’s online education requirements courses as assigned.

Education, Training and/or Experience

Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, customers, and employees.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Certifications, Licenses, Registrations

Ohio NMLS License

Valid Ohio Driver’s License

Licensed Notary Public – Ohio (Recommended)

Ohio Limited Lines Insurance License
