As a Foreign Pharmacy Graduate, you will play a crucial role in delivering our mission, embodying our values, and providing genuine care to our patients. Once you have successfully completed the FPGEE and TOEFL, you can apply for this position to fulfill your required U.S. internship hours while building on your pharmacy education. Your experience will include a tailored learning plan designed to utilize and expand your pharmacy knowledge and skills. Foreign Graduates must complete their internship within 18 months and will be equipped with skills in patient care, practice management, leadership, and education, preparing you to complete all required Pharmacist licensure exams and processes within 120 days of finishing your internship hours.

As a Foreign Graduate, under the supervision of a licensed Pharmacist, you will ensure a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment that prioritizes exceptional patient care. Your responsibilities will encompass:

In this role, you will focus on keeping patients healthy by promoting and managing care programs. Additional responsibilities include:

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service

• Greet each customer courteously both in-store and at the drive-thru
• Assist customers with their inquiries
• Provide a warm and friendly telephone greeting
• Work collaboratively to solve customer issues
• Facilitate customer satisfaction by removing obstacles
• Process transactions efficiently and handle merchandise
• Create personalized experiences for customers

Regulatory Compliance

• Maintain patient confidentiality in line with HIPAA regulations
• Ensure compliance with federal and state laws
• Adhere to CVS policies and standard operating procedures
• Fulfill state and federal licensure requirements promptly

Pharmacy Operations

• Maintain CVS workflow standards
• Process prescriptions accurately
• Resolve third-party rejections
• Manage prescription pickups in accordance with guidelines
• Ensure accurate information retrieval
• Uphold inventory management policies
• Assist with medication orders as permissible

Counseling under supervision:

• Offer to counsel and refer customers to pharmacists when necessary
• Field relevant medical inquiries
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals for optimal care
• Gather necessary medical history for accurate advice

Leadership Responsibilities:

• Engage with management and participate in store meetings
• Maintain a clean, organized pharmacy according to standards
• Assist with training and developing pharmacy support staff
• Recognize and celebrate team successes
• Complete all mandatory training programs

Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Doctorate (PharmD) from a Non-US accredited pharmacy school
• Active Pharmacy Intern license in the state of operation

Experience:

• No prior experience required but 0 to 3 years preferred

Qualifications:

• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Commitment to complete 120 days of licensure after internship
