Position Summary:

At CVS Health, we are committed to transforming health care and creating a rewarding workplace. We assist individuals in navigating the complexities of the health care system while striving to enhance access, reduce costs, and be a reliable partner in every critical health moment. Our programs empower US Non-Accredited Foreign Graduates to support our pharmacy teams consistently. This role paves the way for you to develop essential skills ahead of taking on increasing responsibilities.

If you are a US Non-Accredited Foreign Graduate who has successfully passed the FPGEE and TOEFL exams, you are invited to fulfill your required US Internship hours. This is a unique chance to apply your educational experiences in real-world pharmacy practice. Working under a preceptor’s guidance, you will engage in a comprehensive learning plan designed to elevate your knowledge and practical skills. The expectation is to complete your internship within 18 months and be prepared for all necessary Pharmacist licensure exams within 120 days following the completion of your internship hours.

Your role will involve hands-on experience, training roadmaps, Key Learning Experiences (KLEs), and interactions with leaders in your district. You will gain insights into pharmacy practice and patient care scenarios, enhance your business understanding to drive pharmacy performance, and develop leadership capabilities to engage the pharmacy team effectively.

As part of the pharmacy team, your responsibilities will include:

  • Adhering to all company policies and procedures to support safe and effective pharmacy operations.
  • Monitoring pharmacy workflow procedures to ensure accurate fulfillment of prescriptions.
  • Creating positive patient experiences through empathetic service at various points of contact, including pick-up and drive-thru.
  • Providing counseling and responding to medical inquiries under the guidance of a licensed pharmacist.
  • Handling telephonic prescriptions as permitted by state regulations.
  • Contributing to team performance and continuously seeking ways to improve clinical and technical knowledge.
  • Regularly participating in inventory activities as designed by pharmacy leadership.
  • Practicing flexibility in shifts and contributing to a positive team environment.
  • Complying with all relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
  • Delivering additional health care services, such as immunizations, as permitted by law.

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate from a Non-US Accredited pharmacy program before beginning the training program at CVS.
  • FPGEC certification.
  • Pharmacist licensure in the state of employment within 120 days of completing US internship hours.
  • Must have or be pursuing valid intern and/or technician licensure as per requirements.

Essential Functions:

  • Reliable attendance, including evenings and weekends.
  • Capability to complete training within specified timelines.
  • Strong attention and focus to maintain efficiency and accuracy.
  • Exemplary customer service orientation and teamwork.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Mathematical reasoning skills to address prescription-related calculations.
  • Aptitude for problem-solving in challenging situations.
  • Physical ability to manage pharmacy operations, including mobility and lifting requirements.
  • Willingness to assist in any tasks as directed by a supervisor or manager.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Over one year of relevant experience in pharmacy or customer service.
  • Willingness to achieve immunization certification as state regulations permit.
  • Comfortable working in various stores to meet business needs.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite tools.

Pay Range:
$28.10 - $28.10

At CVS Health, we are pioneering an innovative approach to comprehensive health care. We look forward to welcoming your fresh ideas and unique contributions.
