Boutique Staffing Firm in Washington, DC is seeking a permanent In-House Counsel to provide daily support. This role we review, manage, and direct contract negotiations, compliance with local and nationwide HR/Pay and Benefits laws and regulations, and review incoming requests as needed. This role reports into the office daily.

Job Description Requirements

Knowledge Base & Education:

• J.D. from an ABA accredited law school
• Excellent academic credentials
• Admission to a state bar (preferably the DC Bar)
• Experience with corporate governance, employment law, contracts, and regulatory compliance
• Proficient in understanding employee benefits
• Skilled in Excel and spreadsheet creation and manipulation
• Detail oriented with experience in law review or similar editing
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
• Authorization to work in the U.S.

• Ability to learn and embrace new skills and best practices as the position evolves and company needs change
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Ability to work well independently as well as collaboratively within a team structure
