The Guest Service Associate is responsible for providing exceptional hospitality services to guests in an attentive, friendly and efficient manner. The Guest Service Associate is responsible for parking and retrieving guest vehicles in a prompt yet safe manner and assisting guests with luggage, including delivery and pick up of guest luggage (where applicable) during arrival and departure. Essential functions include maintaining a pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with all guests, co-workers, and clients; acknowledging and greeting guests within five feet with a professional and friendly demeanor; using guest last names during interactions; using salutation of the day and welcoming guests to the location; practicing proper Towne Park phone etiquette; posting up in designated areas when not completing tasks; parking and retrieving vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously; assisting guests with bell services and luggage storage as needed; opening all vehicle and hotel doors for guests; assisting guests with directions, taxis, reservations and other inquiries; providing guests with information about outlets, meeting rooms and/or amenities of the facility as well as main attractions in the area; delivering messages, items and/or guest amenities as requested; shuttling guests to appropriate places that are approved by the location; explaining parking rates and retrieval procedures to guests upon arrival; issuing claim checks only after receiving vehicle keys and collecting claim checks from all guests prior to issuing keys; consistently completing and maintaining all ticket information including key tag, guest folio, location of vehicle, damage survey and claim check receipt from all vehicles taken into the valet system; consistently completing location on all key tags after parking vehicle; calculating and collecting revenue for vehicles when needed. The job requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license for the state or commutable distance, one month related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience, knowledge of customer and personal services principles, and various skills including reading, writing, basic math, and ability to operate a manual transmission and perform parallel parking. The job is routine with specific directions and frequent checks, with physical demands including talking, hearing, sitting, standing, running, walking, handling objects, reaching, climbing stairs, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and lifting up to 100 pounds occasionally. Work is mostly outdoors with exposure to extreme weather conditions. Travel up to 5% may be required.
