Overview:
General Coatings Corporation one of the largest coating companies in SoCal providing commercial painting, wallcovering, sheet metal, waterproofing and deck coating is seeking an experience Estimator/Project Manager to join our team in the Carlsbad office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in estimating, cost control, and project management. If you have a passion for delivering accurate estimates and ensuring projects are completed within budget, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the estimating process for our painting and waterproofing projects from start to finish
- Analyze project plans and specifications to prepare accurate cost estimates
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for bids
- Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing
- Monitor project costs throughout the construction phase to ensure adherence to budget constraints
- Provide guidance on pricing strategies and value engineering opportunities

Qualifications:
- Proven experience in construction estimating, cost control, and project management
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

- Knowledge of contract terms and conditions
