Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented, self-sufficient Estimator with strong experience in heavy civil/site construction and proven proficiency with Agtek software . The ideal candidate will be able to hit the ground running with minimal training and play a critical role in preparing accurate cost estimates for commercial site development projects throughout Central Florida , including Orange County, Osceola County, and the City of Orlando.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for site work projects, including earthwork, utilities, grading, and paving.
• Use Agtek software for takeoffs, site modeling, material calculations, and analysis of project plans.
• Review bid documents, plans, and specifications to determine project scope and required resources.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes.
• Collaborate with project managers and field teams to align estimates with real-world project execution.
• Maintain and update historical cost data and pricing databases.
• Ensure compliance with local codes and requirements for jurisdictions including Orange County, Osceola County, and the City of Orlando .

Qualifications

• 5+ years of estimating experience in land development, site construction, or heavy civil projects.
• Proficiency in Agtek (site modeling, takeoffs, material quantification).
• Strong understanding of site development practices, including grading, utility installation, and paving.
• Experience estimating for projects in Central Florida is preferred.
• Ability to interpret complex plans and specifications.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to work independently.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
