About The Job Responsible for Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) implementation within the Richmond, Virginia facility. Ensure compliance with Alfa Laval policies and local laws, maintain a safe and compliant working environment, and lead EHS culture initiatives. Lead EHS‑related activities, coordinate with regional and global EHS resources, and manage the facility’s hazardous waste program. Location This is an onsite position located in Richmond, VA. Responsibilities Develop, implement, and document all EHS guidelines, including risk assessments, root‑cause analyses, work permits, safety instructions/signage, chemical safety datasheets, etc. Lead risk assessments and audits, follow up on corrective actions. Report all EHS data in Alfa Laval systems, verify data submission. Ensure compliance with Alfa Laval Group policies, local laws, and regulations. Report yearly activities, legislative changes, and outcomes of EHS meetings. Identify improvement ideas to enhance health, safety, and environmental impact. Maintain EHS training records, coordinate mandatory employee trainings, and ensure effective completion. Maintain and continuously improve site EHS and regulatory plans. Investigate incidents, analyze root causes, and implement control measures to prevent recurrence. Manage the facilities hazardous‑waste program, including onsite regulatory compliance and disposal activities. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree from a four‑year college or university (Science or Engineering preferred). 3‑5 years’ experience in a Health, Safety, and Environmental role. Experience training employees on safety topics. OSHA or other relevant certifications preferred. Hazardous waste management experience preferred. Safety program management experience. What’s in it for you? Base salary typically ranges from $90,000 to $120,000.
