Our new Director of Music will be primarily responsible for ensuring our 10:15am service has appropriate music to support worship. They will also be a resource for an adult choir and a contemporary ensemble that support our worship as needed.
Requirements: Contagious faith and charismatic leadership. Ability to lead quality music for worship. Cooperative working relationship with staff and volunteers. Completion of mandatory background check(s) and Safe Church training as required by the Diocese of East Carolina.
Preferences: Experience in church ministry. Ability to play piano or organ. Knowledge of the Episcopal faith and worship. Formal training.
Hours/Compensation: An average of 12hrs/week is expected to complete the required work for a salary of $20,000-$25,000 Four Sundays of paid vacation a year.
